There are changes that happen to a woman’s body that no one prepares her for.

The Unspoken Change is Ludwina’s raw, unflinching response to her journey through menopause,  the change of life that so many women navigate alone, in silence, without the language or support to make sense of what is happening to them.

The sweeping black and white strokes of India ink capture the inner storm - a brain that felt fractured, chaotic and unrecognisable. The layered textures of acrylic on polypropylene echo the scars of navigating something so rarely spoken about. Menopause is a silent epidemic affecting millions of women, yet it is still met with little understanding and even less compassion.

This work is for every woman who has felt confused and alone in that storm and for the ones who found their way through.
