The Business of Art

For artists who are ready to stop winging it and start building a creative practice with confidence, clarity and structure.

I spent more than 35 years building businesses before becoming a professional artist. Today, I help artists bridge the gap between creativity and business so they can take their work seriously, grow their confidence and create opportunities that align with the life they want.

I didn't become an artist until I was 50

Before I picked up a paintbrush seriously, I spent decades building businesses, leading teams, raising a family and helping other people bring their ideas to life.

When I became an artist, I quickly discovered that talent alone isn't enough.

Most artists aren't struggling because they lack creativity.

They're struggling because nobody taught them how to build confidence, price their work, market themselves, create opportunities or think like the owner of a creative business.

That's why I created The Business of Art.

Today, I combine my experience as both an entrepreneur and artist to help creative women build sustainable, fulfilling art practices without losing themselves in the process.

This isn't art tuition

It's art intuition.

If you're looking for someone to teach you how to paint a landscape or improve your brushwork, I'm probably not the right mentor for you.

I'm not an art teacher.

I'm an art business mentor.

My role is to help you understand what's really holding you back and create the confidence, clarity and structure needed to move forward.

Sometimes that means talking about pricing.

Sometimes it means addressing perfectionism.

Sometimes it means challenging the stories you've been telling yourself about your worth, your talent or your ability to succeed.

I won't sugar-coat things.

I won't be cruel either.

I'll be honest.

Because growth requires honesty.
