Lulu is the closing piece of the Scars of a Woman series — and she is everything the journey was moving toward.
She is open. Liberated. No longer weighed down by the pain of her past. Lulu embraces all of who she is — scars and all — and steps boldly into the next chapter.
Beneath the surface of this painting lies something deeply personal. The textured background is built from disposable medical robes worn during Ludwina’s cancer scans. In the first painting of the series, those robes were hidden — subtle, barely there. In Lulu, they rise to the surface. Bold. Visible. Integrated. A reminder that every part of the story belongs.
This is a painting about freedom, wholeness, and what becomes possible when you stop hiding from yourself.
