There is something quietly hypnotic about Lose Yourself - a large-scale abstract that began as nothing more than a series of charcoal lines on a blank canvas whilst listening to 'Lose Yourself' by Eminem. As the shapes emerged, so did the colour. What followed was an intuitive process of connection with each mark leading to the next, each form finding its place in the whole.
The palette is one of Ludwina's personal favourites; it's rich, considered and warm. The hand-painted straight lines, with their clean, deliberate edges, took hours to perfect. They are the tension that holds the painting together.
Much like the moments in our lives, every point in this painting connects with another. Lose Yourself is an invitation to slow down, look closer and find your own meaning within it.
