The Man Within was Ludwina's first time working with charcoal on canvas. It was experimental, uncertain and entirely absorbing. What emerged was a portrait that feels both intimate and confronting. The charcoal lends a rawness that paint can't quite replicate; every mark visible and every shadow is deliberate. Ludwina indicates it's the essence of her dream man waiting for her:)
